The new Chick-fil-A at Metro North Crossing, opening soon.
Chick-fil-A is a prominent American fast-food chain headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, renowned for its high-quality chicken sandwiches and exceptional customer service. Established in the 1960s, the company has grown into one of the largest fast-food chains in the United States, with a widespread presence across urban and suburban areas. Chick-fil-A emphasizes community engagement and service excellence, often adapting its locations to meet local needs. Its expansion strategy includes opening new restaurants in diverse markets, as exemplified by recent developments in Kansas City, where franchisees Amy and Andy Gallawa operate multiple locations. The brand’s ongoing growth continues to contribute significantly to local economies and community vitality.
Kansas City residents can anticipate a new Chick-fil-A at Metro North Crossing, scheduled to open later this year. Franchisees Amy and Andy Gallawa will manage the location, which features a dual drive-thru and modern layout. This new restaurant adds to the existing Chick-fil-A locations in the area and is part of the ongoing development of Metro North Crossing, revitalizing a once-popular retail hub.
Kansas City residents can look forward to a new Chick-fil-A restaurant set to open in the Metro North Crossing development later this year. This new location will be positioned at the corner of Barry Road and Wyandotte Street, adjacent to Dutch Bros, effectively serving the surrounding community as well as visitors to the area.
The anticipated opening of the new Chick-fil-A is slated for late 2025. Franchisees Amy and Andy Gallawa, who also manage a nearby Chick-fil-A at 6501 NW Barry Road, will operate this new establishment. The plans for the location include modern features such as a dual drive-thru system and an updated building layout designed to enhance customer service efficiency.
This addition to the Kansas City dining scene adds to the more than a dozen Chick-fil-A locations already established in the area, known for their popular chicken sandwiches and customer service.
The upcoming Chick-fil-A will be part of the ongoing rejuvenation of the Metro North Crossing area, which was once home to the Metro North Mall that operated from 1976 until 2014. The mall was a significant retail hub for several decades but suffered declining patronage over the years. In 2015, IAS Partners Ltd. acquired the mall and has been engaged in revitalizing the area.
The mall itself was demolished in 2017, leaving behind only a few businesses, including a Macy’s department store. Since then, the development has seen a range of new establishments, including a recently opened Thai restaurant named Thai Orchid, which launched its second location at 464 NW Legacy Drive.
The Metro North Crossing is becoming a bustling commercial area with other current tenants like Third Street Social, T-Shotz, and KPot Korean Hotpot and Barbecue. Additionally, the Furniture Mall of Missouri is expected to open in the former Macy’s building by the end of this year.
The construction and development of the new Chick-fil-A are anticipated to further enhance the area’s appeal to residents and visitors alike. As the Metro North Crossing continues to grow and evolve, local businesses are optimistic about the potential increase in foot traffic and community engagement, largely spurred by the presence of well-known national chains like Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A, headquartered in Atlanta, is one of the largest fast-food restaurant chains in the United States, recognized for its chicken sandwiches and dedication to customer service. The addition of the new location is part of the chain’s strategy to expand its footprint in urban areas and suburban developments.
The Gallawas’ experience with the Chick-fil-A brand positions them well to run this new operation effectively. With their current location nearby, they are familiar with the preferences and needs of the local community. This strategic location in Metro North Crossing aims to not only serve delicious food but also create job opportunities and contribute positively to the local economy.
The Kansas City community eagerly awaits the completion of this new Chick-fil-A restaurant, hopeful that it will bring continued growth and vitality to the Metro North Crossing area.
